I’ve been writing since I was in grade school. I did poetry (I will not share it, I promise!) first, probably as part of a class assignment but I fell in love. I wrote and produced a play in 6th grade. My teacher was too kind to let me do it and to “recruit” my classmates to assist. It was so much fun. As I aged, I kept with poetry and tried short stories. But, life and a “proper career” as some told me wasn’t to be in writing. So I did other things: computer science (which, to be honest, was very creative), organizing, politics, international relations, and development. Luckily, the fates and an amazing partner allowed me to come back to writing as an older person.

I published my first collection of poetry in March 2026. I’m working on my next collection currently. I also have a short story collection, a novella, and a not-sure-what-I-want-to-be horror-ish kind of novel. I’m very excited and ever since I came out in 2025, the words have been pouring out of me. A writer’s block of Lego Store size has been trampled upon (with shoes, of course, so no pain).
