I used to always do top five lists, especially after seeing the High Fidelity film adaptation with John Cusack. What’s been fun is when I run across old lists that I had in files, online, or even on paper stuffed away in file cabinets. It’s amazing how much I’ve changed, or how I sometimes even go in cycles: loving, hating, loving again. So, on a walk today, I thought that I’d put together a few favorites. They’ll probably change and disappear over time, but that’s the joy of always investigating, always reconsidering, always reinventing ourselves.

Oh, in the past, I always went overboard when I pulled together these lists. I was like: 3 isn’t enough, 5 still isn’t fair and I’d make way too many. So, I tried not to overthink it and just pull together three items in five categories.
