I still love playing the “license plate” game when we travel. Seeing which states and provinces are on the road the same time as us. I’ve been playing this since I was single digits. 🩷

On a week’s vacation to New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, we found 42 states, the District of Columbia, and 3 Canadian provinces: Ontario, Québec, and Nova Scotia. That’s a record for us, as far as states go (we saw 6 provinces one time!).

The eight states we didn’t see were North & South Dakota (both somewhat rare on the East Coast), New Mexico (surprised we didn’t see it), Hawaii (long shot on the mainland 🤣), Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska and Iowa (surprised here too).
